ALTAVUE PLATFORM PRIVACY POLICY
Last Updated: August 29, 2026
Supersedes: Privacy Policy dated August 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Saber Management Solutions, LLC ("Saber Management," "Company," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the AltaVue Platform ("Platform" or "Services"), including our website, applications, live chat support, and customer portal.
AltaVue is a cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform built for the construction and general business sector, helping organizations manage the full lifecycle of a project — scoping, estimating, scheduling, tracking, time management, and Agile delivery — through a single integrated system, along with a customer portal for reporting bugs and enhancement requests.
By using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Who This Policy Covers
AltaVue is provided to organizations ("Customers") on a subscription basis. This Policy applies to:
- Individual users whose organization has granted them access to the Platform
- Visitors to our public website and pricing pages
- Individuals who submit a bug report or enhancement request through the customer portal
- Individuals who contact us through the live chat feature available on Platform pages, whether or not they are signed in
Your employer or organization controls your account and may have its own privacy practices governing how it uses AltaVue with respect to you. This Policy addresses what Saber Management itself does with information collected through the Platform.
2. Information We Collect
Account and Contact Information. Name, email address, phone number, company name, job title, login credentials, and similar details needed to create and manage your account.
Project and Business Data. Information you or your organization enter into the Platform in the course of using it, including project schedules, budgets, cost estimates, change orders, tasks, timesheets, sprint and Agile data, and related business or construction project information. This data belongs to your organization; see Section 3.
Payment and Billing Information. Subscription billing is handled through a third-party payment processor. Saber Management does not store full payment card numbers on its own systems — the processor collects and secures that information directly. We retain billing-related records such as invoice history, subscription plan, and billing contact details.
Usage and Technical Data. IP address, browser and device information, log data, pages visited, and similar diagnostic and analytics information collected automatically as you use the Platform, including through cookies and similar technologies. Our separate Cookie Policy describes this in more detail.
Support and Portal Submissions. Information you provide when submitting a bug report, enhancement request, or support inquiry, including any files, screenshots, or descriptions you choose to include.
Cookie Consent Records. When you answer the cookie banner while signed in, we record which account answered, what was chosen, when, from which AltaVue module, and which version of the Cookie Policy was in force. We keep this so that we can demonstrate consent was given if we are asked to. The record cannot be altered or deleted once written. If you answer while not signed in, your choice is kept only in your own browser and nothing is recorded on our side.
Live Chat Support Information. The Platform includes a live chat feature, provided by Crisp IM SAS ("Crisp"), that appears on Platform pages once you have allowed functional cookies. Until you do, the feature is not loaded into your browser and collects nothing. When you use it, the following is collected and processed through Crisp's service:
- The content of the messages you send and our replies, and any files or screenshots you attach to the conversation
- Technical information Crisp collects automatically to operate the chat, which may include IP address, browser and device information, approximate location derived from IP address, and the page you were viewing when you started the conversation
- If you are signed in to the Platform when the chat loads, identifying details we transmit to Crisp so that our support staff know who they are assisting without having to ask: your name, email address, your organization's name, your role within that organization, your organization's subscription tier, your user and organization identifiers, and which AltaVue module you were using
- Your email address if you provide it in the chat, and any other information you choose to volunteer in the conversation
You may use the chat without signing in, in which case we transmit none of the identifying details listed above and the conversation begins anonymous. Please do not send passwords, payment card numbers, government identification numbers, or other sensitive personal information through the chat. Our support staff will never ask you for your password.
3. Ownership of Customer Data
All project, business, and operational data your organization enters into the Platform belongs to your organization. Saber Management processes this data on your organization's behalf to provide the Service and does not use Customer Data to train AI models. Access within an organization's account is controlled by that organization.
Live chat conversations are support records rather than project data. They are retained as described in Section 8 and are accessible to authorized Saber Management support personnel.
4. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Platform
- Authenticate users and manage accounts and permissions
- Process billing and manage subscriptions
- Respond to support requests, live chat conversations, and portal submissions, and improve the Platform based on that feedback
- Route and prioritize support requests, including by identifying the organization, role, subscription tier, and module a request comes from
- Honor and evidence your cookie choices
- Monitor performance, diagnose technical issues, and maintain security
- Communicate with you about your account, service updates, and policy changes
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
We do not use live chat content for advertising, and we do not sell it.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers. With vendors who help us operate the Platform, such as hosting, database, payment processing, email delivery, and customer support providers, under obligations to protect your information and use it only to provide services to us. Section 6 identifies these providers and their roles.
- Your organization. Account activity, usage data, and content you create may be visible to administrators within your own organization.
- Legal and safety. When required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Saber Management, our customers, or others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
6. Service Providers and Sub-Processors
The following service providers process personal information on our behalf to deliver the Platform. Each is engaged under a written agreement requiring it to protect the information and process it only on our instructions.
| Provider | Role | Information processed | Processing location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Crisp IM SAS | Live chat support | Chat content and attachments; name, email, organization name, role, subscription tier, user and organization identifiers, module in use; technical data such as IP address and browser information | European Union — company established in Nantes, France, with core infrastructure processors in Amsterdam, Netherlands |
| Vercel | Hosting and content delivery for the Platform's web applications | Request and log data, including IP address | United States (Eastern Region) |
| Supabase (PostgreSQL) | Storage of account and Customer Data; user authentication | Account information, Customer Data, session records | United States (Eastern Region) |
| Stripe | Payment processing for subscription billing | Billing contact details and payment credentials collected directly by the processor | United States |
| Resend | Delivery of account, invitation, and notification email | Name and email address, message content | United States |
7. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encryption of data in transit, access controls limiting which personnel may access support and account records, and a Content Security Policy restricting the code a browser will execute on Platform pages. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Access to live chat conversations is limited to authorized Saber Management support personnel.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When your organization's subscription ends, we retain data for a reasonable period consistent with our data retention practices and then delete or anonymize it, except where longer retention is required by law.
Live chat conversations are retained for as long as needed to resolve the issue you raised and to support you afterwards, and are then deleted in line with our retention practices. Technical metadata held by our chat provider, including connection logs and IP addresses, is retained by that provider for a maximum of one year. The identifier the chat feature stores in your own browser expires after 30 minutes. You may request deletion of a chat conversation at any time using the contact details in Section 13.
Cookie consent records are retained for as long as the consent is relied upon and for a reasonable period afterwards, as evidence that consent was given.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, which can include the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, and the right to object to or restrict certain processing. Because your access to AltaVue is provided through your employer or organization, many requests involving project and business data should be directed to your organization first, as they control that data. For requests directly to Saber Management, contact us using the information in Section 13.
Cookies and the live chat. Optional cookies, including those the live chat needs, are not set until you allow them. You are asked the first time you open any AltaVue module, and you can change your answer or withdraw consent entirely at any time from the "Change cookie preferences" control on our Cookie Policy page. Withdrawal takes effect immediately, removes the chat and clears its conversation from that browser, and does not sign you out or affect your access to anything else. Use of the live chat is voluntary; you can contact us by email or through the customer portal instead. Signing out also clears the chat conversation from that browser, which matters on shared or job-site computers.
10. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.
11. International Users and Data Transfers
AltaVue is operated from the United States, and most Platform data is stored and processed in the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your home jurisdiction.
Our live chat provider is established in France and processes chat data on infrastructure located in the European Union. Accordingly, information you provide through the live chat, and the identifying details we transmit with it, are transferred to and processed in the European Union. Where a transfer of personal data requires a transfer mechanism under Chapter V of the EU General Data Protection Regulation, that transfer is made subject to Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful mechanism. Our chat provider processes personal data on our behalf under a data processing agreement meeting the requirements of Article 28 of the GDPR.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
